Nasarawa State Governor Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule has thrown his weight behind the Ajaokuta- Kaduna – Kano Gas pipeline project describing it as a key infrastructure that would boost economic activities across the country.
A statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the governor of Nasarawa State, Malam Ibrahim Addara said Governor Sule expresses the conviction that the President Muhammadu Buhari led-administration has the capacity and commitment to deliver on the 614 km-long pipeline developed to transport natural gas from the South to the Northern part of Nigeria.
The statement pointed out that Governor who spoke during a live discussion programme, Tuesday Live, on the Network Service of the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, however quoted him ( Gov Sule ) as saying that the project has multiplier effect as it will serve as catalyst to revive industries which in turn create wealth and reduce unemployment in the country.
On the Ajaokuta Steel project, the statement said Governor Sule traced its history from inception saying the completion of the project will have positive impact on the nation’s economy.
