NSHA Passes Bill For Establishment Of NASIMHAF Into Second Reading
Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed into second reading “A bill for a law for the establishment of the Nasarawa State Infrastructure Maintenance and Haulage fee and other matters connected thereto.
Speaker of the house, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi announced this after the house leader Umar Tanko Tunga moved a motion to that effect which was seconded by Hon. Luka Iliya Zhekaba, Deputy Minority Leader.
Giving the substance of the bill, the House Leader Umar Tanko Tunga said it will enhance the revenue base of the state through private commercial vehicles plying the state with goods, products or natural resources among others.
” In our usual manners as a progressive assembly, I called on members to support the executive bill to pass second reading, this is simply as supporting government towards better life, progress and development of the state”.

In their various contributions, Hon. Daniel Ogazi, Hon. Abdulaziz, Hon. Azara and Hon. Okpoku threw their weights behind the bill to scale second reading.
Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi committed the bill to House Standing Committee on Works and to report back to the house on first December, 2020.
