New Provost Of College Of Education Akwanga Urges Staff To Redouble Efforts

New Provost College of College of Education Akwanga Rev Jonathan Thani has called on the staff of the college to redouble their efforts towards improving quality and standard of education in the institute. A statement made available to Nasarawa Eye in Lafia signed by the college PRO Mal. Mustapha Ibrahim indicated that the new Provost was speaking while taking over from the interim administrator of the college yesterday. It said the new provost appealed for mutual respect and coexistence among staff in the interest of peace and development of the college.
Rev Thani added that his administration will not tolerate rumour mongering, idleness and all forms of sentiments, pledging to operate an open door policy, improving Staff welfare, physical development and quality of education. He added “With these in place I believe the college would produce good products and graduands that would stand the test of time”
While thanking Governor Abdullahi Sule, Members of the Governing Council, Very senior citizens, Traditional Rulers and the College community who supported him in one way or the other to emerged as the Provost, Rev Thani assured that his Administration will be just to all.
Earlier, the former Interim Administrator of the College Dr Mrs Roseline Kela, thanked the Governor Abdullahi Sule for giving her an opportunity to pilot the affairs of the College for the period of one year.
She called on all Staff and students to extend same cooperation to the new Provost, adding “even though the journey was very rough and hectic due to financial difficulties facing the college, but the new Provost who happens to be from within will tackle the problems head on.
