Akurba 330KV Transmission-Station: Nasarawa Electricity Agency Hold Stakeholders Meeting

General Manager Nasarawa Electricity Power Agency Engr. Abubakar Danjuma Ango, Hosted major Stakeholders in the power sector to synergize on way forward regarding Akurba power sub station and the need for mutual Collaboration, Interventions. Speaking at the meeting, Engr Ango noted that electricity is one of the most important priority of Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule’s administration

The Stakeholders who attended the meeting includes representatives of (REA, NEMSA,AEDC,LBRBDA) who discussed in details and came up with the following Resolutions:

1. Henceforth, All rural Electrification projects handled by the state and federal MDAs’ should be in line with NEMSA regulations.
2. All the the MDAs’ in the power sector should Collaborate with the Nasarawa State Electricity power Agency for electrification projects across the state to avoid duplication.
3. AEDC is to provide the state through Nasarawa Electricity power Agency with appropriate Service Reflective Tariff Band (SRTB).
4. The state, through the Agency is to sensitize citizens/ Consumers of Electricity on the danger of using sub- standard electrical materials for house wiring and phase to phase connection to house supply before the completion of the on-going 330kv transmission station at Akurba.

While commending Gov Abdullahi Sule on his commitment towards completion of the Akurba station and other stations in the state.
Engr. Ango further reiterated that this determination of Gov Sule will go along way in achieving the set goals of Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy (NEDS).
