The Majority Leader of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Umar Tanko Tunga says that he would not leave any stone unturned to see the progress and development of Tunga community and the state at large.

Tunga ( APC- Awe South) stated this after he was turbaned as Jagaban Tunga(Meaning,Leader of the People) by Sarkin Tunga, Alhaji Mohammad Ibrahim Suaibu 1V today in Tunga, Awe Local Government Area of the State.

The Majority leader said that he would continue to initiate good policies and programmes in order to continue touching on the lives of the people of his constituency positively.

” Today, I feel happy, I feel delighted for my recognition and acceptance by my community as Jagaban Tunga, particularly as it comes from the leadership of my community.

” My assurances is always one, as long as I remain alive, as long as I remain healthy, capable and able , I will leave no stone unturned to see the progress and development of my people and other people.

” I call on my people to remain peaceful. Peace is a platform where progress and development depended upon.

” A situation where there is no peace, there will be no progress and development,” he said.

Tunga further called on the people of his constituency and the state at large to support President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administrations to succeed.

” I want my people to remain supportive to the present administration of His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule as they are part of the creation of this administration.

” And this is to enable them enjoy more dividends of democracy, ” the Majority leader said.

Also speaking, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the state assembly congratulated Hon Tunga on his coronation and prayed God to bless and guide him.

Balarabe Abdullahi, who was represented by Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa called on the people of Awe South constituency to continue to give Hon Tunga and the state government their maximum support to succeed.

The speaker has assured the people of the state of his readiness to continue to partner with the executive arm in order to ensure speedy development across the state.

Earlier, the Sarkin Tunga, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Shuaibu IV said the traditional council has decided to turbaned Hon Tunga and seven other people considering their contributions to the development of the community.

He has called on them and other title holders of the community to continue to contribute their quota to the development of the community and the state at large.

The second class traditional ruler enjoined the people of the area to continue to live in peace and tolerate one another for the overall development of the area and the state at large.

It would be reported that the seven other persons coronated are Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu Turaki, the state commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development as Madugu Tunga, Alhaji Usman Abubakar Danakano, the Executive Chairman, Awe Local Government Council as Dan Isan Tunga.

Others are Hon Abdullahi Baban Sale as Dan Makoyun Tunga, Umar Wambai as Gadoda Masun Tunga, Yusuf Samu as Dan Lawan Tunga, Musa Gambo as Madakin Ruwan Tunga and Saidu Umar as Sarki Jirgin Tunga in that order.
