Nasarawa state governor, Engr Abdullahi Sule has been conferred with a honorary doctorate degree (Honoris Causa) in Public Policy and Management by the Iheris university in Lome, Togo.
It was gathered that Governor Sule accepted the doctoral degree because he shares some value with the University which is “developing its learning on the basis of global practices and a commitment to spark the light of creativity and generate practical solutions that will solve the manpower needs of Africa while building character and discipline”.
A statement from the director-general, strategic communications and events in the governor’s office, Yakubu Lamme, read: “Iheris University paid tribute to the 35 years of management experience of Engr Sule and applauded him as the first person to donate computers to the Arewa House in Kaduna at the time he was president of Zummata association, USA and also personally granting scholarships to indigent youths across Nigeria.
“Iheris University proclaimed that Engr Sule has shown resilience in rescuing education in Nasarawa state by allocating 26 percent and 36 percent to education budgets of 2019, 2020 and 2021”.
