His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi has been conferred with the highest-ranking award of ICON OF AFRICA DIGITAL ECONOMY FOR SOCIAL & ECONOMIC IMPACT 2022.

The respected Africa Award for the political leader who has shown exceptional commitment to ICT and E-GOVERNANCE for the year 2022 was given to Engr Abdullahi A. Sule during this years DIGIVATION FUTURE SUMMIT 2022 which took place at Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja Lagos on 22nd June 2022 with the theme: THE FUTURE NOW!”

According to statement issued by Director General Strategic Communications and Event Management to Governor Sule, Malam Yakubu Lamai said governor Sule was represented at the award event by DG Strategic Communication & Events Management, Yakubu Lamai. The statement indicate that Governor Sule representative told audiences that indeed the track records of Engr A.A. Sule in ICT was clear and unequivocal as 2 years ago, he earned the award of ICT GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR 2019 and only 7 months ago, Engr Abdullahi Sule again collected the award of DIGITAL GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR AWARD in Lagos which was conferred on him by the Nigeria Computer Society on November 17, 2021.

The DG NITDA also commended Engr A.A. Sule for facilitating the ICT Masterplan and ensuring legal backing for the establishment of the Bureau of ICT (BICT) in Nasarawa State.

On his part, Dr Bayero Agabi, the President of DIGIVASION applauded A.A. Sule as a “rare breed among political leaders” and a Governor who is deserving of this new award of ICON OF AFRICA DIGITAL ECONOMY FOR
SOCIAL & ECONOMIC IMPACT 2022, as a confirmation of Engr Sules sterling records in developing ICT Hubs, digitization of Nasarawa State public service and upward progress in the adoption of digital economy in 3 years of his remarkable stewardship.

The remarkable award of ICON OF AFRICA DIGITAL ECONOMY FOR SOCIAL & ECONOMIC IMPACT 2022 comes on the hills of the recent appointment of Governor A.A. Sule as a member of THE PRESIDENTIAL COUNCIL ON E-GOVERNANCE AND DIGITAL ECONOMY by President Muhammadu Buhari.
