Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, has urged the chairman of Doma Local Government Area of the State, Arc. Ahmed Sarki Usman and his legislative arm to maintain good working relationship for the overall development of the area.
This the committee has equally warned against any instability at the third tiers of government saying the House will not in any way accept any move that will hamper development at the grassroots levels.

made the call today during a meeting with councillors of Doma LG over the chairman’s alleged appointments in the council without approval from the legislative arm among other emerging issues.
The lawmaker said that speedy development would not be achieved in the council, if the two arms of government in the area are in loggerheads.
” If both of you understands each other and embrace team work, there will be speedy development in the area.
” You will not experience development in Doma Local Government if you are in loggerheads with each others.
Alkali called for understanding among them for accelerated development in the area.
The Assemblyman also called on the two arms of government in Doma and other LGAs in the State to respect the right of each other for smooth administration.
He added that the chairman need the councillors to succeed and the councillor also need the chairman to succeed as according to him they are two sides of a coin that needs each other at all times.
Alkali called on them to co-exist peacefully irrespective of their differences for the overall development of the area.
He maintained that the meeting with counselors was a prerequisite to hear their own side of the story before the follow up meeting with the Chairman for amicable resolution of the dispute for peace and progress of the area.
