NSHA Committee On Information Directs For Return Of All Entities Under Information Ministry

Nasarawa State House committee on Information has direct for return of all entity hertherto under the Ministry of Information, culture and tourism back to the Ministry for proper supervision in line with the laws establishing such entities. Speaking at the end of 2023 budget defence held at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Tuesday, the chairman House committee on Information, Hon Mohammad Adamu Omadefu noted that all state government owned hotels, tourism sites and recreational centres as well as Lafia square and city hall are by law under the supervision of the Ministry of Information, observing that anything in the contrary to this, is violation of the state Assembly laws. While warning against contravening of state Assembly laws, Hon. Omadefu praised the 2022 budget performance of the Ministry of Information culture and tourism and commended the Hon. Commissioner of the Ministry, Alh. Yakubu Mohammad Lawal, the permanent secretary, Barr Yusuf Musa and management of the Ministry for taking the Ministry to the next level.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism Hon. Yakubu Mohammed Lawal who led the Management Staff to defend the Ministry’s 2023 budget appreciated the Committee members for the opportunity given to the Ministry to defend its submission on the Appropriation bill and solicited for upward review of of some items in both capital and recurrent expenditures of the Ministry.
