Nasarawa State Governor and Governor Elect in the just concluded March 18th, 2023 Governorship and State Assembly elections Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule has appreciated God, his Campaign Council, APC State Working Committee, Party Stalwarts and the entire people of the state for making his re-election a reality at the polls.

The Governor appreciated the people of the state for their various roles during the election period- shortly after he received his Re-election Declaration Result Sheet from Hon. Aliyu Bello who is also the APC State Secretary and his agent at the election results collation centre while the election lasted.

” First, we thank the Almighty Allah for bringing us to a day like this. It is exactly four years ago in March that we gathered in front of government house residence – where I received my declaration of result sheet from Aliyu Bello. God had kept us alive and from the same Aliyu Bello I received another one today ” He explained.

He stressed that the All Progressives Congress party family and stakeholders would continue to work together as a team through a renewed mandate and commitment to the development of the state as the outcome of the just concluded elections has challenged them to work harder going forward.

Engineer Sule called on those who contested the election with him to understand that; there was nothing wrong with them contesting but at the end, God had chosen who should be the leader of the state.

” I call on them to come and partner with us if indeed, they are interested in the development of the state.We are happy and willing to buy-in their vibrant developmental ideas as the state is big enough to accommodate more ideas as well as more developmental initiatives and stop protesting against a concluded election ” Sule noted.

He equally urge those who won at various levels to be tolerant as God had already fought their battles for them and that there is no other persons to fight as God had already resolved their cases.

On the need to form a united front that would fast track development driven initiatives, the Governor said; there are more minerals resources in Nasarawa State than oil. He called for a renewed commitment in order to harness the various opportunities in the state as Nasarawa is not poor and would never be a poor state.

Earlier, the State Chairman of APC Dr. John W. Mamman who led the party State Working Committee, Secretaries of the various Local Government Councils, their Chairmen, Youth leaders and Women Leaders across the state said, they were in Government House Conference Hall to share the joy and happiness of a moment that would never be forgotten in the historical archives of their brains.

” Your Excellency, we are here to congratulate you, congratulate democracy, congratulate APC and to congratulate ourselves. Your Excellency, if I have your permission, your new mantra should be – ‘Ikon Allah’…

” In recent times, I have never witnessed a political senario, a political betrayal, a political gang up like this one and God was so merciful to us ” Mamman asserted.

The APC State Chairman noted that in spite all that happened during the election period, he loves the Governor’s statement shortly after the news of his victory broke out when he said; ” Even though he has the capacity to retaliate, he had forgiven everybody”.

On behalf of the entire people Nasarawa North, Shuaibu Kore congratulated the Governor for his re-election victory while Zainab Ahmed spoke on behalf of the entire people of Nasarawa West.

Whereas, Senator Salihu Egyegbola congratulated the Governor Elect on be half of the people of Nasarawa South during the visit.
