Nemesis caught up with a ‘’notorious criminal’’ who burgled an apartment in Karu local government area of Nasarawa state, carting away household appliances and a car as he was nabbed by the police in Abuja and the stolen items recovered from him. This was confirmed by the police command in Nasarawa state in a statement signed by the Command’s public Relations Officer, DSP Rahman Nansel on behalf of the Commissioner of Police CP Maiyaki Baba.

The statement with reference number AZ:5250/NAS/PRD/VOL.2/25 dated March 30, 2023 reads in full: “On 27/03/2023 at about 1230hrs, a complaint was lodged at Karshi Division that, an apartment located at Modupe Olusola street, Papaladna, Karshi Development Area of Karu LGA was burgled and house hold items including a 2010 model Toyota matrix vehicle were carted away by unknown persons.

“Upon receipt of the report a discreet and diligent investigation was launched into the case. The effort of the Police operatives paid off on 28/03/2023 when the principal suspect; Gabriel Okpe ‘M’ 32yrs was trailed and arrested at Jikwoyi FCT Abuja where the following items were recovered as exhibit: Toyota matrix with registration number ABC 277 FV Abuja, Honda Accord with registration number LC 699 EKY Lagos, two plasma television sets, one Elepaq generator, a standing fan, Laptop, Microwave, Gas cylinder and burner, two Ipads, a samsung smart phone and other items.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Maiyaki Baba, has ordered that the suspect be charged to court for prosecution upon conclusion of investigation”.
