Nasarawa Civil Service Commission Commence Promotion Of Senior Officers In Various MDA’s

Following approval granted by Governor Abdulahi A. Sule on promotion of civil servants without necessarily going through examination, the Nasarawa State Civil Service Commission has commenced the process of promotions of eligible civil servants from GL 7 and above serving at various Ministries, Parastatals and Agencies in the state.
Presenting the Memo during an expanded meeting held at the Commission’s boardroom last Tuesday, the Commissioner in charge of Promotions, Conversion and Discipline, Mr. Randolph Parah Moses informed the Members that, following the weaver granted by the governor, the Commission received a letter from the Office of the Head of Service asking the commission to proceed with the promotions and conversion of eligible junior and senior civil servants in the state.
towards this end, the commissioner explained that, the Commission has so far received briefs on 281 junior and senior officers across the MDAs, adding that, the Commission was still expected more promotion briefs as the exercise progresses.
The Commissioner noted that, the promotions exercise would cover period effective from last the promotions date to 2023.
He however announced that, the conversion exercise in the service through the use of professional certificates has been suspended, stressing that, only academic certificates will henceforth be recognized for conversion, advancement and promotion in the state civil service.
