Gov Sule Again Restates Commitments Of His Administration Towards Provision Of Enabling Environment For Business To Thrive In Nasarawa

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has assured local and foreign investors of an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state, expressing satisfaction with the establishment of liquefied natural gas and liquefied compressed natural gas facility, the first in the North Central region.

Governor Sule said the project if fully functional would grow the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in the state.

Delivering his keynote speech at the ground-breaking ceremony of the 2 million USD investment in Shabu, Lafia, the governor called for wider coverage and enhanced investment by the investors, noting that the state has an avalanche of opportunities for the company to revolutionise the transport system in the country.

He lauded the Greenville LNG for its willingness to invest in the state, insisting that Nasarawa State is considered most strategic for marketing and business development due to its rapidly expanding development strategy and its proximity to the FCT.

In a remark, Managing Director, Greenville LNG, who was represented by Director of Administration of the company, Joseph Oyadoyin said the project which has over 23 metric tonnes capacity of Liquefied Natural Gas and 1,500 SCM of Liquefied Compressed Natural Gas is first established by the company in whole of the North Central region, adding that soon another LNG-LCNG plant would also be erected in Karu.

He maintained that the investment in the state would avail many employment opportunities, stabilise petroleum price, revolutionise transport system and provide inclusive energy distribution for a prosperous future.

Also in a welcome remark, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Nasarawa Investment and Development Agency, Ibrahim Abdullahi said the plant would be a springboard to other businesses, noting that the industrialization policy of the Sule-led administration was an effective tool for a better Nasarawa State.

He emphasised that the state would provide a robust and friendly policies to steer the oil and gas sector for more investment destinations in the state.

In their goodwill messages, the Sangari of Shabu, Alhaji Mahmoud Umar Bwallah lll and his counterpart of Kwandere, Alhaji Ahmadu Abdun-Kura Al-Makura tasked the investors to uphold trust and sincerity to the host community, assuring them of co-operation for the investment to flourish.

GoThe ground-breaking ceremony also witnessed the official handover of Certificate of Occupancy which was facilitated by the Nasarawa Investment and Development Agency(NASIDA) after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Nasarawa State Government and Greenville LNG last year, presented by Governor Abdullahi Sule to the management of the company at the event.
