As Muslims around the world mark the sacred occasion of Eid-el-Kabir today, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, Sarkin Yakin Keffi and Senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, has extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Muslim faithful across Nasarawa State, Nigeria, and beyond.

In a statement released to commemorate the Islamic festival, Senator Wadada described Eid-el-Kabir, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, as a momentous time that embodies the spirit of Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience and devotion to Allah (SWT). He urged Muslims to reflect on the true essence of the celebration, which lies not merely in the ritual of animal sacrifice but in the purity of intentions, sincerity of heart, and compassion towards others.

“This festival is a divine reminder for believers to renew their commitment to righteousness, sacrifice, empathy, and peace,” the Senator stated. “Let us extend kindness to the less privileged, forgive one another, and strive for unity in our communities.”

Acknowledging the socio-economic challenges facing the nation, Senator Wadada emphasized that the values of patience, faith, and unity remain crucial for Nigeria’s path to a brighter future. He called on citizens to embrace peace, tolerance, and mutual respect, which he described as the bedrock of a just and prosperous society.

Senator Wadada also extended his prayers to Nigerian pilgrims currently performing the Hajj in the Holy Land, asking Allah to accept their acts of worship and grant them a safe return home.

As Muslims celebrate the holy festival, Senator Ahmed Wadada expressed hope that this Eid-el-Kabir would usher in peace, mercy, and divine elevation for all.

“Eid Mubarak to you and your families,” the statement concluded. “May this Sallah bring us all closer to Allah’s mercy and blessings.”
