Hon. Ibrahim Hamza has hailed the visionary leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule for what he describes as a financial turnaround story worthy of national celebration.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with newsmen in Lafia over the weekend, Hon. Ibrahim Hamza who recently defected to APC from PDP described Nasarawa state as one state that was once grappling with a financially fragile economy heavily dependent on federal allocations, but now the state has, under the stewardship of Governor Sule, undergone a remarkable transformation.

Today, the state stands as a beacon of fiscal innovation and investor confidence, not only within Nigeria but across West Africa.

He said though Governor Abdullahi Sule, is an engineer by training and a businessman by experience, yet he took over the reins of the state with a clear understanding of the unsustainable nature of overreliance on the Federation Account and quickly swung into action by implementing a strategy that diversified the state’s sources of revenue from negative to positive direction. This according to Hon. Ibrahim Hamza includes, aggressive internal revenue generation (IGR) reforms, support for agribusiness, mining, and most notably, an intentional push to attract both local and foreign investors.

“The governor came in with a blueprint, and he executed it with uncommon discipline,” Hon. Hamza noted.

“He didn’t just talk about change; he engineered it. Today, Nasarawa is no longer waiting for federal allocation to survive. We are thriving, and it’s thanks to his bold economic decisions.”

He said: “crown jewel of Governor Sule’s economic drive is the successful attraction of the largest lithium processing company in West Africa. Located in Nasarawa State, this multi-billion naira project has already begun to reshape the state’s economic landscape, promising thousands of direct and indirect jobs, improved infrastructure, and a surge in ancillary businesses.”

Hon. Hamza who is the Karfen Dawakin Lafian bare-bari praised this achievement, noting its historic significance.

“What Governor Sule has done with the lithium project is nothing short of groundbreaking. We are talking about an industry that is central to the global energy transition. By bringing this to Nasarawa, he has positioned our state as a future hub of green energy production in Africa.” Hon. Ibrahim Hamza further stressed.

“The lithium plant, now nearing completion, is set to be commissioned in the coming weeks by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a clear recognition from the federal government the efforts of Governor Sule”

Hon. Ibrahim Hamza also noted that what makes Nasarawa’s story even more compelling is the trust the state has earned from private sector players.

“Governor Sule’s administration has focused on creating an investor-friendly environment by ensuring ease of doing business, maintaining peace and security, and providing policy stability.”

“This administration has demystified governance,” Hon. Hamza emphasized.

“ Governor Sule has created a platform where investors feel safe and confident. That is how real development begins, when government and business collaborate for mutual growth.”

“As other states continue to grapple with budget shortfalls and development challenges, Nasarawa is increasingly being seen as a model for economic reinvention.”

Hon. Ibrahim Hamza believes that the state’s success under Governor Sule should serve as a case study in governance, especially for resource-constrained states.

“Nasarawa was not among the top states in terms of revenue or industry a few years ago,” he said. “But through vision, hard work, and strategic leadership, we are now leading in areas that matter most for the future. I am proud to stand with a Governor Sule who has turned challenges into opportunities.”

“As the state eagerly awaits the commissioning of the West African lithium giant, the people of Nasarawa are beginning to feel the tangible benefits of visionary governance. Roads are being built, jobs are being created, and confidence in the state’s future is growing.” He said.

Hon. Ibrahim Hamza maintained that his commendation on Governor Abdullahi Sule was not a political praise singing but it is a reflection of a shared belief that Nasarawa State is on the right path.

“With Governor Sule’s continued commitment and clear-eyed leadership, the state is poised to become a central player in Nigeria’s economic renaissance.” Hon. Ibrahim Hamza concluded.
