Nasarawa Speaker Arrives Namibia for CPA Conference, Pledges Global Partnership for Effective Legislation

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, Ph.D, has arrived in Namibia to participate in the 90th Executive Committee Meeting of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) African Region.
The summit, taking place in Swakopmund, is scheduled to run from Monday, 2nd March to Friday, 6th March 2026, and brings together parliamentary leaders from across the African region to discuss both internal and international legislative issues.
Dr. Jatau, who serves on the Finance and Budget Committee of the CPA, joined his colleagues at the international forum to strengthen collaboration and share insights on effective governance and legislative practices.
As the Vice Chairman (North) of the Nigeria APC Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly, the Nasarawa State Number Three Citizen emphasized his commitment to sustaining global partnerships that enhance effective legislation.
Delegates at the Namibia summit are expected to deliberate on critical matters affecting their respective countries, as well as broader regional and international concerns, reflecting the CPA’s role in promoting parliamentary cooperation and accountability.
The conference will continue through Friday, concluding a week of dialogue aimed at improving legislative effectiveness and fostering collaboration among CPA member countries.
