The re-election of Aliyu Bello as APC Chairman in Nasarawa State is not only a political milestone in the history of APC in Nasarawa state, the reelection however signals the emergence of leadership with a purpose. Aliyu Bello’s emergence also shows when leadership is rooted in trust and dedication, it always finds its way back to the people.
At Lafia Square, on Tuesday where the state Congress was held, the atmosphere carried more than the routine party activity. It shows a level of discipline in the party as well as respect for stakeholders, hence Aliyu Bello’s victory through consensus speaks volumes. In politics, consensus is never accidental it is something that one has to work hard to earn. Aliyu Bello’s emergence reflects unity, negotiation, respect, and above all it shows confidence in Aliyu Bello’s governance style. And confidence like we are aware doesn’t come overnight, one has to work to earn it, Aliyu Bello earned it through years of consistent effort. Undoubtedly, leadership positions everywhere around the world are never handed out lightly. You have to contest for it, you have to submit yourself for scrutiny, and you have to be weighed carefully. So when stakeholders and party faithful agree to return Aliyu Bello to office without rancor, it is a testament to the bridges Aliyu Bello has built, bridges that are nearly unshakable.
What happened at Lafia Square was not just about a victory; it represents the future of Nasarawa politics. Stability within APC leadership forms the foundation for broader electoral success. Aliyu Bello’s steady hand suggests continuity, strategic focus, and readiness to tackle challenges ahead.
Looking ahead to 2027, it is clear that politics is a long-distance race, where every decision today shapes tomorrow’s outcome. With this renewed mandate, Aliyu Bello is firmly positioned as a central figure in APC’s march toward the 2027 elections. Momentum, unity, and grassroots confidence all point to one conclusion: Aliyu Bello is unstoppable.
Engr. Abdullahi Sule, as the leader of APC in Nasarawa State, made the wise decision to allow Aliyu Bello and his team to continue. This decision demonstrates strategic foresight and strengthens the party’s prospects for victory in 2027.
Of course, elections are never won by optimism alone, they require structure, mobilization, and trust at every level. By these metrics, APC already possesses the necessary foundation to secure victory. The consensus re-election of the party EXCO has laid critical groundwork, sending a clear message from Lafia Square that there is no vacancy at Shendam Road Government House for any political party other than APC. With Aliyu Bello at the helm, victory is within reach.
At this juncture many may ask where are those who said Aliyu Bello will not make it at the Congress, where have they gone? Engr. Abdullahi Sule, however, is far too strategic to be swayed by sentiment. He recognizes those calling for Aliyu Bello’s removal are not genuine supporters of APC; their intent is simply to weaken the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Without fear of contradiction, Aliyu Bello remains the engine room of APC in Nasarawa. Removing him would be tantamount to removing the party from the Government House. That is precisely why Engr. Abdullahi Sule insisted on keeping him in place.
As the journey toward 2027 unfolds, one thing is certain: APC is charting a clear course to victory, and Aliyu Bello remains unstoppable.
