Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has formally presented his nomination form to contest for the governorship of Nasarawa State under the All Progressives Congress (APC), to Governor Abdullahi Sule, in a move that signals the intensification of political activities ahead of the primary election.
The presentation took place on Thursday at the Government House Lodge in Abuja, where he presented the form to the Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, who also serves as the leader of the APC in the state.
The event was attended by key party stakeholders and government officials, including the APC State Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji as well as other prominent party stalwarts and top government functionaries.
Governor Sule had, earlier publicly endorsed Senator Wadada as his preferred successor. Speaking on his choice, the governor cited Wadada’s qualifications, leadership capacity, and broad acceptance among the electorate as major factors that influenced his decision.
Political observers say the endorsement and formal presentation of the nomination form mark a significant step in shaping the APC’s strategy for retaining power in Nasarawa State.
