
Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has called on wealthy individuals in the society to extend support to the less privileged as Muslims across the country prepare to celebrate this year’s Eid-el Kabir.
The Senator, while felicitating with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the Sallah celebration, said the festival provides an opportunity for sober reflection, sacrifice, love and compassion towards one another.
In a statement issued in Lafia by the Senator Wadada Media Directorate said Senator Wadada urged Muslims and other Nigerians to use the period to pray fervently for the peace, unity and continued progress of the country.
He stressed the need for sustained prayers for leaders at all levels, the success of Engr. Abdullahi Sule’s policies and programmes, as well as the success of the programmes of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, Eid-el Kabir symbolizes sacrifice, obedience and selflessness, virtues he said should be embraced by all citizens for national development and harmonious coexistence.
The lawmaker further urged Nigerians to strengthen their relationship with God and promote peaceful coexistence among different religious and ethnic groups.
Senator Wadada also called on citizens to remain law-abiding and supportive of constituted authorities to ensure lasting peace and stability in the nation.
While congratulating Muslims on the successful celebration of the festival, he prayed for Allah’s blessings, guidance and prosperity for the country.
