The recent article titled “Why Nasarawa State Needs Former IGP Adamu, Not Sen. Wadada” by Abubakar Musa Ramalan presents an opinion that deserves respect in a democratic society. However, while attempting to elevate former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, the writer unfairly diminishes the towering political profile, grassroots relevance, and proven public service record of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada.

No serious political analysis of Nasarawa State’s future can be complete without acknowledging the remarkable political journey and achievements of Senator Wadada, a man whose rise in politics was not facilitated by appointments or bureaucratic privilege but earned through direct engagement with the people.

Unlike many politicians whose influence is confined to political offices, Senator Wadada has consistently demonstrated electoral strength and public acceptance. From his service in the House of Representatives to his current position in the Senate, he has repeatedly earned the trust of the electorate through the ballot box.
