
Hajiya Maryam Aliyu Wadada, wife of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, has thanked Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, for his support towards her husband’s emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag-bearer for the 2027 governorship election in the state.
Hajiya Maryam made the remarks when she paid a courtesy visit to Governor Sule at his office in Lafia.
She expressed appreciation to the governor for the support extended to Senator Wadada, which she said contributed to his emergence as the APC candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
Responding, Governor Sule thanked Hajiya Maryam and her team for the visit, urging her to remain steadfast in her support initiatives across the state.
The governor also advised her not to be intimidated or deterred by threats or attacks, encouraging her to continue with her activities peacefully and confidently.
The call comes against the backdrop of an incident involving Hajiya Maryam’s convoy during a condolence visit to the Emir of Lafia, where some suspected miscreants allegedly attacked the convoy.
The incident reportedly resulted in damage to several vehicles.
The suspected attackers were alleged to be supporters of former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu,
Governor Sule’s remarks underscored the need for Hajiya Maryam to remain committed to her engagements across the state despite the reported incident.
