The newly appointed Special Adviser to the Nasarawa State Governor on Information and Orientation, Dr. Joseph Oboshi Attah, has called on the Doma Executive Council and the people of the area to unite, move forward and work towards the success of the Wadada Project 2027 and a brighter future for Doma and the state.
Dr. Attah made the call when the Doma Executive Council, led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Jonathan Okuba Addra, paid him a congratulatory visit at his office in Lafia.
He urged the council and other stakeholders to put past disagreements behind them, stressing that previous events should not be allowed to hinder the progress and development of Doma.
Drawing an analogy from driving, Dr. Attah said, “You do not drive your vehicle by focusing on the rear-view mirror,” urging the council members to learn from the past without allowing it to define their future.
He said the priority should be unity, reconciliation and collective efforts toward achieving the Wadada Project 2027, adding that the people must make their purpose bigger than their pain.
Dr. Attah recalled that he had earlier advised the APC leadership in Doma to forgive one another and focus on the larger objective of moving the party and the community forward.
Earlier, Hon. Addra called for forgiveness and unity in the interest of Doma, stressing the need for stakeholders to work together for the development of the local government and the state.
The meeting, which followed an initial heart-to-heart discussion between Dr. Attah, Alhaji Abdullahi Balarebe (Barwan Doma) and the council chairman, focused largely on unity, reconciliation and the way forward for the party and Doma.
Dr. Attah expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit and called for sincerity of purpose and collective commitment to the development of Doma and the realisation of a brighter future for its people.
