Gov. Sule Appeals To Citizens Not To Put Unnecessary Pressure On Public Servants

By Our Reporter. The Governor of Nasarawa state Abdullahi A. Sule has urged the people of the state not to put unnecessary Pressure on public servants in order not distract their attention from discharging their onerous responsibilities of moving the state to the next level of development. Speaking while inaugurating Secretary to the State Government and other aides in Lafia today, Gov. Sule observed that since he assumed mantle of leadership he made a solemn commitment to revitalize and refocus the public service with

the view to make it vibrant, stable and responsive to the yearnings
and aspirations of the people of Nasarawa State, saying that mounting undue pressure to public servants are capable of eroding good intentions of government in meeting up with the yearnings and aspirations of the people. “Concomitant to this,
is my resolve to package a team of tested technocrats, resourceful
bureaucrats and experts that will bring their experience to bear on
the actualization of the policies and programmes of our
Administration” he added.

He noted that Inauguration of SSG and other aides today was a partial fulfillment of his
desire to launch Nasarawa State on the path of growth and
Gov. Sule who maintained that his administration was meticulous and diligent on the choice of
the appointees since he assumed office however stressed that before making these appointments he consulted widely. ” “Before we make any appointment we must consult widely and considered pedigrees of all aiming at setting the pace for moving Nasarawa State to the Next Level
of Development. Gov. Sule who described the Office of the Secretary to the Government of
Nasarawa State as nucleus of Government activities, requiring the
occupant of the office to be a person with outstanding record of
performance, commitment, dedication, hard work, loyalty, proven
integrity and exemplary antecedents, however noted that for all intent
and purposes, these were the considerations that informed our choice
of the new Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State. He expressed the confidence
that the new appointee will continue to be an embodiment of
sacrifice and service to the people of Nasarawa State. Turning to the newly appointed special advisers Gov. Sule said:
“I need to reiterate that the implementation of
Government policies and programmes will require informed advice,
suggestions and guidance. Accordingly, I believe that the appointment
of Special Advisers will avail Government the privilege of their
valuable advice which will be an added impetus towards improving the
standard of living of our people” Gov. Sule further noted his administration will count on the experiences and doggedness of the new
Special Advisers towards the needed reinvigoration of the public
service for enhanced productivity and efficiency.

Gov Sule who observed that the success of any Government is
dependent on the quality of the team it assembles also said: “It is in this
regard that we selected the appointees with proven integrity and
vitality. The purpose of this deliberate effort is to strengthen the
machinery of Government for effective performance”

While congratulating the new Secretary to the Government
of Nasarawa State and our (4) Special Advisers on their
well-deserved appointments, he also charged them to
quickly settle down to their new assignments. ” I charge you to be
innovative and make valuable contributions to enable Government
achieve its development objectives”

While noting that
governance is a collective responsibility, Gov Sule called on the people
to give the new appointees their maximum support and cooperation. “I urge you to appreciate the enormous tasks entrusted on their
shoulders, hence the need for you to encourage them to give their

come, more appointments will be made in order to achieve our
development objectives and to give people sense of belonging.
Accordingly, I solicit for the maximum support and cooperation of all
