NSHA Assures Of Support To Pilgrims Welfare Boards
Nasarawa State House of Assembly has assured of its support to the state Pilgrims Welfare Boards for improvement and success of 2021 Pilgrimage
Hon. Aliyu Ibrahim Nana (APC keffi west) Chairman House Committee on pilgrims and public service gave the assurance when the Managements of Muslim pilgrims welfare Board and Christian pilgrims Welfare Board appeared separately before the committee for 2020 budget assessment in Lafia, today.
Hon. Nana commended the Board Secretaries and assured them of the House support and enjoyed them to be more proactive and ensure better welfare and adequate arrangements for the 2021 intending pilgrims of the state.
Hon.Nana adviced them to give more priorities on the 2020 intending pilgrims that was canceled due to Covid19 pandemic.
In their,separate submissions, the executive secretary Muslim Pilgrims welfare Board Alh. Idris Ahmed Almakura thanks the commitee for its supp and pray for there support. Almakura and his counterpart of christian board David Ayewa assured that the payments of 2020 pilgrims that was canceled due to Covid19 is still intact.
“Our hope for 2021 pilgrimage is still alive. We have been meeting with the executive secretary National Pilgrimage Board. We will visit Israel on the 15th of this month to ascertained the level of preparedness on the 2021 pilgrimage”Ayewa said.
Aside Covid19, Mr Ayewa attributed errors in filling forms among reasons why most prospective pilgrims are denied Visa and promise to work on that.
