Nasarawa state Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe psc(+) has charged officers and men of the command to be proactive in crime fighting as well as be more professional in their coverage and patrols of vulnerable and perceived black spots across the state.
According to a press release by the command’s public relations officer, ASP Rahman Nansel, CP Bola Longe gave the charge during a weekly briefing with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Head of departments in the command. The state police commissioner added, “we must remember that when ember months come, days and weeks seem merged in a continuous flow at an ever accelerated speed and so do crimes and criminality flow with it thus, strategic deployments have been made to thwart the criminals from executing their enterprise, all the entry and exit routes into the state have been fortified, while undercover Police personnel have also been deployed and directed to use the instrumentality of Community Policing to sniff for information to enable the Command nip crime in the bud”.
CP Longe appealed to residents of the state to share information with the Police, assuring that such information would be treated with utmost confidentiality.
He also assured the general public of adequate security of lives, property and public safety in Nasarawa State during these ember months and beyond.
