The Nasarawa State House of Assembly committee on Finance and Appropriation, has presented its reports on N112.92 billion to the House for deliberation.
Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House received the 2021 Appropriation bill reports from Hon Aliyu Dogara Mohammed , the Chairman of the committee during the House proceedings in Lafia today.
Balarabe Abdullahi appreciated the committee members for their commitments in ensuring that the report is presented timely.
” I want to appreciate the Chairman and members of the Finance and Appropriation committee for their relentless efforts as they have even Worked on weekend to achieve result.
” You have demonstrated hard work, commitment and dedication to your duties.
” I have said it that the budget is a life of our people , I cannot thank you enough. Let’s continue to give our best for the purpose of the state and our people,”
“As I will always said,there is three judgment that awaits us,the judgment of the people,judgment of posterity and the judgment of God.let’s do our best so that the people will judge us well,posterity well judge us well and above all God will judge us well”
Balarabe Abdullahi also assured of the speedy passage of the appropriation bill.
The speaker slated tomorrow Tuesday December 15, 2020 for the deliberation of the report.
Earlier, Hon Aliyu Dogara Mohammed , the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation while presenting its reports said that the committee has worked tirelessly in order to submit the report on time.
He said that the committee has met with the Commissioner for Finance, Accountant General and Director of Budget and other committee members in order to get relevant information that would help the committee carrying out its assignment effectively.
It would be recalled that on Nov. 17, 2020 Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has presented the 2020 budget proposal of N112. 92 billion to the state House of Assembly for consideration and approval.
Meantime, Hon Mohammed Ibrahim Alkali, the Acting Chairman, Joint Ad-hoc Committee on Judiciary and Women Affairs, has submitted its report on a Bill for a Law on Gender Based Violence ( Prohibition) and for Other Connected Purposes.

Hon Suleiman Yakubu, the Acting Chairman, House standing Committee on Health has submitted its reports on a Bill for a Law for the Establishment of the Nasarawa State Hospitals Managment Board Law 2020 and for Other Matters Connected Thereto.
Rt.Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker, slated December 16th, 2020 for the deliberation of the committee’s reports.
Furthermore, Hon Suleiman Yakubu, the Acting Chairman, House standing Committee on Health has also submitted another reports on a Bill for a Law to Repeal and Re-Establish the Nasarawa State Primary Health Care Board and for Other Matters Related Thereto.
