
Nasarawa State commissioner of women affairs and social development Hajia Aisha Rufa’i Ibrahim has called on the women in the state to unite and speak in one voice on issues affecting them for their growth and development.
The commissioner made the call while she received in Exco Members, National Council for women Society (NCWS) in her Ministry today Monday, advocated for women to participate accurately in politics in order to carry them along on the schemes of government.
She explained that the ministry was saddled with a responsibility to coordinate the activities of women in the state, adding that, ministry of women affairs and social development would continue to work in synergy with relevance Women’s NGos mission in the state, meant to improve the welfare of women in Nasarawa State.
Earlier, the NCWS chairperson Nasarawa State chapter Mrs Mary Meshi said the team was in the ministry to felicitate with her recent appointment as commissioner in the ministry, stressing that, the Women in the state believed in her capability to move the ministry forward and by extension better a lot of women in the state.
The chairperson solicitate the ministry support with the NCWS towords improving the welfares of women in the state, just as she called on the Directors of the ministry to give the commissioner the needed support to achieve the ministry’s goals.
