Wazirin Lafia Urges Unity, Support for Wadada

The Wazirin Lafia, Barr. Aliyu Mohammed Ubandoma, has called on political supporters to reach out to members of opposing camps and encourage them to unite behind Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, following his emergence as the preferred aspirant of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Speaking while receiving Senator Wadada at his residence during a condolence visit, Ubandoma emphasized the need for unity and reconciliation among stakeholders. He urged all parties to set aside their differences in the interest of collective progress.
Reflecting on past political developments, the Wazirin Lafia recalled his earlier position that political fortunes can change over time. He noted that in 2019, Wadada came second to Governor Abdullahi Sule, adding that he had predicted that “whoever comes second today may emerge first tomorrow,” a statement he said has now been fulfilled.
He described Wadada’s emergence as a reflection of perseverance and destiny, commending the governor’s decision as one that aligns with this belief.
Ubandoma also praised Wadada’s character, portraying him as a leader committed to the welfare of the people. According to him, Wadada has consistently demonstrated a strong sense of public responsibility—an attribute he said is essential for inclusive leadership.
He added that the call for unity is aimed at consolidating support across different groups as Wadada prepares for the responsibilities ahead.
Earlier, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu said that his visit to the Wazirin Lafia’s residence was to offer condolences. He stressed that the visit was rooted in compassion and shared values.
“I was at the Wazirin Lafia’s residence on a condolence visit,” he said. “It is part of our shared values to support one another during difficult moments. My visit should be seen in that light.”
While acknowledging the remarks made about unity and leadership, Wadada reaffirmed his commitment to respect, empathy, and solidarity within the community, especially during times that call for compassion.
