The Nasarawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Abdullahi Sule, commending his leadership, developmental strides, and commitment to good governance in the state.
The party praised Sule’s administration for what it described as remarkable achievements in infrastructure development, economic growth, investment attraction, and improved governance standards, noting that his leadership has strengthened both the party and public confidence in government.
Speaking at a press conference in Lafia on Monday, the state APC chairman, Dr.Aliyu Bello, said the governor’s stewardship has continued to inspire unity and progress across the state.
Dr. Bello also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to internal democracy, stressing that aspirants for the forthcoming primaries would be given a level playing field to test their popularity. He said the party had put measures in place to ensure transparent, free, fair, and credible primaries in line with the Electoral Act, the party’s constitution, and approved guidelines for the 2026 elections.
He urged party members to remain disciplined and conduct themselves with maturity throughout the electioneering period, noting that politics should serve as a platform for unity rather than division.
Bello further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ongoing reforms and developmental programmes aimed at stabilising the economy, improving infrastructure, and enhancing national security.
He also announced the party’s endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term in 2027, expressing confidence that it would allow him to consolidate on existing gains.
On the emergence of a preferred governorship aspirant, Bello explained that it followed wide consultations within the party and was aimed at promoting continuity, stability, and the collective interest of Nasarawa State and the APC.
