Distinguished Senator Ahmad Aliyu Wadada has been thrown into mourning following the death of his stepmother, Hajiya Aisha Soda, who passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
Family sources confirmed that Hajiya Aisha Soda died earlier today.

A statement issued in Lafia said Senator Wadada had to  cancel all his engagements in Lafia and rushed to Keffi, prompting outpouring of condolences from relatives, friends, political associates, and well-wishers praying for Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, shower His mercy upon her, and grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdausi.
According to the burial arrangements released by the family, the funeral prayer and interment will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Emir’s Palace in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
Sympathizers have continued to send messages of support and prayers to Senator Wadada and the entire family during this period of grief.
