Nasarawa 2027: Wadada Promises Inclusive Governance, Stronger Traditional Institution

Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has assured traditional rulers in Nasarawa State that he would leverage existing relationships with them to strengthen and uplift the traditional institution to greater heights if elected governor of the state.
Wadada gave the assurance during a visit to the palace of the Emir of Azara, Dr. Jabir Ibrahim Musa, as part of his political engagement tour in Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The senator, who represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District, said traditional institutions remain critical to peace, unity, and development, stressing that his administration would work closely with royal fathers to deepen grassroots governance and promote sustainable development across the state.
He also commended governorship aspirants who withdrew from the race in deference to the decision of Governor Abdullahi Sule, describing their action as a demonstration of loyalty, maturity, and respect for party leadership.
Wadada specifically acknowledged Nalaraba, Faisal, Baraden Nasarawa, and other aspirants who stepped down, while calling on supporters to continue praying for them and for the unity of the state.
During the palace visit, the senator presented his scorecard and copies of his HEARTS Agenda document to the Emir of Azara, outlining his vision for inclusive governance and development in Nasarawa State.
Earlier at the Awe Local Government Council Secretariat, Wadada interfaced with party leaders, stakeholders, youths, and women groups, where he engaged directly with residents and appreciated them for their continued support and commitment to what he described as a shared vision for a greater Nasarawa State.
The engagement, according to him, was aimed at strengthening his connection with the grassroots and creating an avenue for citizens to express their concerns and expectations.
While addressing the gathering, Wadada highlighted the key pillars of his HEARTS Agenda, which include inclusive development, human capital advancement, accountability, rural transformation, youth and women empowerment, and sustainable governance.
Participants at the meeting also offered suggestions and feedback on the agenda, with many expressing support for the senator’s leadership style and developmental vision.
The lawmaker expressed satisfaction with the level of participation and reaffirmed his commitment to building a stronger, united, and inclusive Nasarawa State.
