
The Oriye Rindere, Justice Lawal Musa Nagogo, has expressed confidence that Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada will emerge as the next governor of Nasarawa State after the tenure of Governor Abdullahi Sule ends in 2027.
The traditional ruler made the declaration while receiving Senator Wadada at his palace in Wamba, where the lawmaker paid a courtesy visit to seek royal blessings.
According to the monarch, Wadada has worked tirelessly over the years and deserves to be rewarded with the governorship position by the grace of God.
Oriye Rindere noted that Senator Wadada shares a long-standing relationship with the Wamba royal family, describing him as “a brother” because of the strong ties between their families.
He prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the senator success in his political ambition and crown him governor of Nasarawa State in 2027.
Speaking during the visit, Senator Wadada recalled the historical relationship between his family and the royal household in Wamba, particularly the bond between his father, Danyaya, and the family of Nagogo in Wamba.
The senator described his visit as a homecoming and appreciated the support and prayers of the traditional institution.
Wadada also stated that his emergence as the preferred successor to Governor Abdullahi Sule was made possible through the support of traditional rulers across the state.
He commended the Oriye Rindere and other prominent traditional leaders for their commitment and efforts toward ensuring his political success.
During the meeting, the senator presented his scorecard in public service and highlighted his HEART agenda, which he said would form the foundation of his vision for Nasarawa State if elected governor in 2027.
