Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, has been conferred with the traditional title of “Kaigaman Mama” by the paramount ruler of Mama Chiefdom, His Royal Highness Alhaji Mustafa B.Z. Adam, in recognition of his leadership qualities and contributions to society.
The honour was bestowed on the senator during his visit to the palace of the Gom Mama in continuation of his statewide consultations with traditional rulers and citizens across Nasarawa State.
Speaking during the visit, the Gom Mama offered prayers for Allah’s guidance and support for Senator Wadada’s governorship ambition, expressing optimism that he could emerge as the next governor of Nasarawa State.
The royal father said the increasing calls from across the state for Wadada to contest the governorship reflected the desire of the people, which he described as the “voice of God.”
He also commended infrastructural projects executed in the area by Engr. Abdullahi Sule, particularly the road constructed to Mama community, noting that the people would remain grateful for the development.
The traditional ruler further appealed to the senator to consider adding his weight behind the creation of a Mama Local Government Area if elected governor, stressing that the request was not due to any disagreement with Wamba Local Government Area but was aimed at advancing the development of Mama Chiefdom.
During the engagement, Senator Wadada presented his achievements at the National Assembly and unveiled his developmental blueprint known as the “HEARTS Agenda,” which focuses on unity, progress and sustainable development across Nasarawa State.
The senator said his ongoing tour was aimed at interfacing with traditional institutions and residents to better understand their needs and aspirations for the future of the state.
