Our Support Will Become Your Votes— Kwanta Rallies Akwanga for Wadada

Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development in Nasarawa State, has assured Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada that the overwhelming support shown by the people of Akwanga would translate into massive votes at both the APC governorship primary and the 2027 general election.
Kwanta gave the assurance on Friday during the final leg of Senator Wadada’s consultative tour across Nasarawa North Senatorial Zone, held in Akwanga Local Government Area, where supporters from all 11 electoral wards gathered in large numbers.
According to the commissioner, the crowd at the rally was a clear indication that the people of the zone were prepared to back Wadada’s governorship ambition.
He disclosed that an elder who listened attentively to the senator’s presentation during the previous engagement had confirmed that Wadada came with a clear development blueprint that would serve as a continuation of the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Addressing the gathering, Senator Wadada presented his legislative scorecard and outlined his HEARTS Agenda, an acronym for Human Capital Development, Energy and Mineral Resources, Agriculture, Rural and Urban Development, Trade, and Security.
The senator assured the people that he would not only sustain but also improve upon the achievements of Governor Sule if elected governor in 2027.
Wadada stated that Governor Sule, who had endorsed him as his preferred successor, was handing over “gold, silver and diamond” on behalf of the Akwanga zone, stressing that such confidence placed a responsibility on him to deliver equitable development across all parts of the state.
He also called for unity and peaceful coexistence ahead of the 2027 elections, urging residents to put aside ethnic and religious sentiments and vote for competent leaders.
According to him, electing leaders without the required capacity would leave the zone politically disadvantaged.
The senator equally declared his support for Governor Sule’s proposed move to the Senate, describing the governor as a servant-leader whose achievements in infrastructure development, including flyovers, bypasses and rural roads, had transformed the state.
Earlier, Senator Wadada paid a courtesy visit to the Chun Mada, HRH Samson Gamu Yare, at his palace.
In his welcome address, Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area and ALGON Chairman in the state, Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha, apologised to the crowd for the delay in the commencement of the event, attributing it to circumstances beyond control.
Andaha said Akwanga had witnessed unprecedented political and developmental progress under Governor Sule since the return of democracy and urged residents to continue supporting the APC administration and Wadada as the governor’s preferred successor.
Also speaking, the National President of the Mada Development Association (MDA), Engr. James Bashayi, described Wadada as prepared and capable of governing the state.
Bashayi, who said he once lectured the senator at the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, urged the people to respect Governor Sule’s endorsement and support Wadada’s ambition.
The Akwanga rally marked the conclusion of Wadada’s consultative tour across Nasarawa North, following similar engagements in Wamba and Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Areas, as political activities intensify ahead of the APC governorship primary.
