Barrister Tanimu Adabson has urged his supporters across Nasarawa State to rally behind Senator Aliyu Wadada Ahmed following his withdrawal from the 2027 governorship race in Nasarawa State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adabson, who made this known in a press release issued yesterday May 20, 2026, said his decision was reached after wide consultations with party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters across the state.
The former governorship aspirant explained that the move followed discussions with the state leadership of the APC and an appeal for him to support Senator Wadada as the preferred aspirant in line with the position of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
According to him, the decision was informed by his commitment to party supremacy, unity, zoning arrangements, and the need to sustain peace and cohesion within the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
Adabson stressed that supporting the party’s direction remained the best path toward ensuring stability, fairness, and progress for Nasarawa State and the Nasarawa Western Zone.
He expressed gratitude to party leaders, political associates, supporters, youths, women groups, as well as traditional and religious leaders who stood by him throughout his political consultations and campaign activities.
The legal practitioner further called on all his supporters and political allies to remain loyal to the APC and work collectively for a peaceful and hitch-free primary election process.
He also wished Senator Aliyu Wadada Ahmed success as the party prepares for the next phase of the gubernatorial contest.
