
The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, has congratulated the Emir of Lafia and Chairman of the Nasarawa State Traditional Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (rtd), on the occasion of his 70th birthday, describing him as a pillar of peace, unity, and development in the state.
In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, on Sunday, Speaker Jatau praised the monarch’s exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the progress of Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
The Speaker described the Emir as an exceptional leader, bridge builder, and role model whose contributions to peace and harmony have continued to strengthen the state’s social and cultural fabric.
He noted that the royal father’s leadership has been highly rewarding and beneficial, earning him respect and admiration across the state and beyond.
“His Royal Highness, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (rtd), remains a symbol of peace, unity, integrity, and responsible leadership. He is a leader worth celebrating for his immense contributions to societal development,” Jatau stated.
The Speaker also commended the Emir for his concern for vulnerable members of society, particularly his advocacy against child abuse and his support for improved access to education, especially for the girl child.
While identifying with the Emir and joining other well-wishers in celebrating the milestone, Jatau called on citizens of the state to continue praying for and supporting the traditional ruler to enable him consolidate on the achievements recorded during his reign.
He further prayed for God to grant the Emir more years of good health, wisdom, and strength to continue serving humanity and promoting peace in the state.
Speaker Jatau wished the paramount ruler a happy 70th birthday and expressed confidence that his leadership would continue to inspire future generations.
