The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, has said that the Fellowship Award conferred on him by the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa has further strengthened his commitment to excellence, purposeful leadership, and continued service to the growth and development of Nasarawa State and Nigeria.
Senator Wadada stated this after receiving the institution’s prestigious Fellowship Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to public service, leadership, and national development.
The honour was bestowed during the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa Convocation Ceremony, an occasion the senator described as memorable and deeply significant, noting that the institution is his alma mater.
The event attracted several distinguished personalities, including the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe. Also in attendance was the Emir of Lafia, His Royal Highness, Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed (Rtd.), JSC, CFR, alongside other eminent dignitaries, traditional rulers, government officials, alumni, and members of the academic community.
Expressing appreciation for the recognition, Senator Wadada said the award serves as an inspiration to remain steadfast in advancing good governance, quality leadership, and initiatives that promote sustainable development and improve the lives of the people of Nasarawa State and the nation.
The fellowship award is one of the institution’s highest honours, reserved for individuals whose contributions have made significant impacts on society and national development.
