An All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives hopeful for the Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency, Alhaji Mohammadu Al-Makura, has expressed appreciation to members of the MOHA Progress Movement (MPM) for the successful unveiling of his campaign banner at Rimi Uku in Lafia.
In a message to supporters, Al-Makura said he was unable to attend the event due to official commitments outside the state but was represented by his brother, Hon. Ibrahim Abubakar Apeshi. He described the turnout and show of unity by supporters as encouraging and a demonstration of the movement’s growing strength.
As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 General Elections, Al-Makura called on eligible residents of Lafia and Obi Local Government Areas to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), stressing that the PVC remains the most important tool for electing credible and people-oriented leaders.
“Your PVC is your power. It is the only way we can elect credible, transparent, and people-centered leaders who will truly serve you. Without it, we have no voice,” he stated.
The APC aspirant pledged to provide quality representation if elected to the House of Representatives, promising to pursue policies and projects that would deliver meaningful development across communities in Lafia/Obi and contribute positively to the progress of Nasarawa State.
Al-Makura also expressed gratitude to Hon. Commissioner Aminu Mu’azu Maifata, Alhaji Ali Garkuwa, Hon. Ibrahim Abubakar Apeshi, and the Chairman of the MOHA Progress Movement, Comrade Jamilu Abdullahi, as well as members of the movement for their dedication and support.
He expressed optimism about the 2027 elections, saying he was confident of victory with the continued support of the people.
“We will win, Insha Allah. Let us all get our PVCs ready because the future is ours to decide,” he said.
