A prominent stakeholder in Nasarawa State, Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya, has declared that the people of Toto Local Government Area are fully prepared and determined to deliver 100 per cent of their votes to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, in the 2027 governorship election.
Maikaya gave the assurance on Sunday during Senator Wadada’s thank-you visit to Toto LGA following his emergence as the APC governorship candidate in the party’s recently concluded primaries.
“Your Excellency, we assure you that we are more determined than ever to deliver 100 per cent support for you,” Maikaya said.
He explained that the visit was organised to appreciate the people of Toto for their loyalty and steadfast support after the governor adopted Senator Wadada as the party’s preferred governorship candidate, despite the participation of other sons of Toto in the race.
According to him, the people of Toto demonstrated maturity and respect by aligning with the governor’s decision, a move he said has further strengthened the unity of the APC in the area.
Earlier, Senator Wadada paid a courtesy visit to the paramount ruler of the Egbira nation and Ohimegye Opanda of the Umaisha Administrative Area in Toto Local Government Area, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdullahi Usman.
The APC governorship candidate was received by the Chairman of Toto Local Government Area, Pharmacist Ahmed Yahaya, alongside thousands of supporters, party faithful, youths, women and critical stakeholders who thronged the venue despite a heavy downpour.
Throughout the visit, supporters chanted “Wadada Gwamna” in a spirited demonstration of solidarity and confidence in his candidacy.
Among those present were Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya, the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Labaran Magaji, Dr. Gwamna Gaza, the State Commissioner for Health, party leaders, as well as youth and women leaders.
Some residents who spoke during the event described Senator Wadada’s emergence as the APC governorship candidate as divinely ordained. They also commended prominent aspirants, including Dr. Faisal and Dr. Musa Maikaya, for  supporting the governor’s preferred candidate.
The residents pledged their unwavering support for the APC and Senator Wadada ahead of the 2027 governorship election, expressing confidence that the party would secure victory in the state.
