Sule Wambai Predicts Landslide Victory for Wadada in 2027 Governorship Election

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Wambai, has expressed confidence that Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada will emerge victorious in the 2027 Nasarawa State governorship election, predicting that the senator will secure 89 percent of the votes across the state’s three senatorial districts.
Wambai made the prediction during his monthly media briefing held at his residence in Abuja on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
According to him, Senator Wadada enjoys widespread popularity and acceptance across Nasarawa North, Nasarawa South, and Nasarawa West, making him the strongest contender for the state’s top political office.
He stated that no other governorship aspirant possesses the level of popularity, political experience, and public acceptance currently enjoyed by Senator Wadada.
Wambai, who previously served as Secretary and Chairman of Lafia Local Government Council, former APC National Vice Chairman (North Central), and currently serves as Director of Organizing at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja, also commended Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for supporting Senator Wadada’s bid to succeed him.
He expressed optimism that the APC would record a decisive victory in the 2027 governorship election, attributing the party’s confidence to what he described as Senator Wadada’s broad grassroots support and political credentials.
Wambai also serves as Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigeria Arabic Language Village, Maiduguri, Borno State.
