Senator Wadada’s Wife Commences ₦50,000 Empowerment for 500 Women in Nasarawa

The wife of Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, Hajiya Maryam Ahmed Wadada, has commenced a statewide empowerment programme aimed at supporting 500 women across the 13 local government areas of Nasarawa State.
Under the initiative, each beneficiary is receiving ₦50,000 as seed capital to support and expand small-scale businesses and improve household livelihoods.
Hajiya Maryam Wadada has so far visited Awe, Obi, Keana and Doma Local Government Areas as part of the programme, where she presented the empowerment funds to selected women beneficiaries.
Speaking during the visits, the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Hajiya Maryam Wadada for the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that would help them strengthen their businesses and improve their economic well-being.
They assured that the funds would be used judiciously as seed capital to establish or expand their businesses and generate sustainable income.
The empowerment programme is expected to cover all 13 local government areas of Nasarawa State, with 500 women benefiting from the initiative.
The gesture underscores Hajiya Maryam Wadada’s commitment to supporting women’s economic empowerment and promoting grassroots development across the state.
