The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Nasarawa State, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, has donated two buses to the Nasarawa State Disability Rights Commission and the state’s Tailoring Association to facilitate their activities and engagements.
Wadada made the donations separately during meetings with members of the two groups in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
Speaking at the meetings, the APC governorship candidate commended the leadership of the Disability Rights Commission and the Tailoring Association for their efforts in advancing the interests and welfare of their members.
He reaffirmed his commitment to implementing his HEARTS Agenda if elected governor, describing the policy programme as a covenant between him and the people of Nasarawa State.
Addressing members of the disability community, Wadada urged them to remain determined in pursuing their careers and personal aspirations, stressing that disability should not be a barrier to achieving success.
“There is ability in disability,” he said, while encouraging members of the community to continue striving for greater achievements.
Responding, the Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Disability Rights Commission, Hon. Saleh Barde Keana, expressed appreciation to Wadada for what he described as his commitment to addressing the challenges confronting persons living with disabilities.
Barde particularly thanked the APC candidate for donating a bus to the commission, saying the gesture would enhance its ability to carry out its engagements and activities.
He also assured Wadada and other APC candidates of the commission’s support ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing their endorsement as unanimous.
At the meeting with the Tailoring Association, Wadada assured members of his readiness to support the association in achieving its objectives and improving the welfare of its members.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Tailoring Association in Nasarawa State, Abu Safiyanu Abubakar, disclosed that the association had more than 70,000 members across the state’s 13 local government areas.
Abubakar assured Wadada of the association’s support and votes in the 2027 elections.
The donations come as political activities intensify in Nasarawa State ahead of the 2027 elections, with political actors engaging various groups and communities across the state.
