Also speaking at the meeting, the leader of the Ghetto Boys, Aliyu Buhari Kachalla (Wah Macellor) expressed regret over the role some members of the group had played in the past, saying they had at times been used by selfish individuals to pursue personal interests.
He pledged that the group would henceforth remain law-abiding and do everything humanly possible to promote the interests, peace and development of Gudi.
The meeting brought together representatives of the Gudi Youth Progressive and Development Association, Eggon Youth Movement, Mada Youth Development Association, Rindre Youth Development Association, Tiv Youth Movement, Fulani elders and youth leaders, as well as Hausa-Fulani elders and youth leaders.

The representatives agreed to put aside their differences and work assiduously towards the success of the two political projects, stressing that unity and collective action were necessary to promote peace, socioeconomic development and progress across their communities.
They further pledged to mobilise their members and supporters at the grassroots and work together throughout the political process, irrespective of ethnic or other differences.
