Nasarawa Speaker Dr. Jatau, former Speaker Balarabe meet behind closed door.

The Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau Ph.D and the Immediate Past Speaker of the House Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi met for discussions in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

The two leaders met at the Lafia residence of the Speaker Dr. Danladi Jatau in Project Quarters today Saturday.

Balarabe Abdullahi, the current Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State and former Speaker of the State Assembly visited his successor Dr. Danladi Jatau.

Dr. Jatau a former Speaker of Kokona LG Legislative Council, former Chairman Agwada Development Area, Special Assistant to former Deputy Governor and former Minister is serving for third term as member representing Kokona West at the State Assembly who succeeded Balarabe Abdullahi as Speaker of the 7th Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

While Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the current Chairman, Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu, Yobe State led the State Assembly as Speaker for Eight and half years in Fifth and Sixth Assembly and some session of the Seventh Assembly (Five Months) between 2015 to 2023.

Dr. Jatau, Garkuwan Eggon Worldwide hosted his predicessor, his legislative and political friend Balarabe Abdullahi, the Wali Opanda in Lafia.

Though, the two leaders met behind closed doors but it was gathered that their discussions focused on the legislative institution, unity, 2027 political issues and development of the State among others.

Their meeting was also said to be critical especially now that the political atmosphere is gathering momentum, and the two leaders hailed from the Western Zone of the State, Jatau, Kokona LG and Balarabe Toto LG.

It was further reported that the meeting between Balarabe and Jatau was coming nearly six weeks after Balarabe met with the State Accountant General and former Speaker of the State Assembly Dr. Musa Ahmed Muhammad, Baraden Nasarawa.
