Nasarawa Assembly Confirms Muhammad Haliru Musa as NSJSC Commissioner


The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has screened and confirmed Muhammad Haliru Musa, Esq., as a Commissioner of the Nasarawa State Judicial Service Commission (NSJSC).
The confirmation was announced by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, during plenary in Lafia on Monday.
Jatau commended members of the Assembly for their unity and continued support for the executive, saying the cooperation was essential to achieving good governance and improving the welfare of the people of the state.
The Speaker charged the newly confirmed commissioner to justify the confidence reposed in him by bringing his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his responsibilities.
According to him, Musa’s contributions to the Judicial Service Commission would help strengthen the administration of justice in Nasarawa State.
Following the confirmation, Speaker Jatau directed the Clerk of the House to communicate the Assembly’s resolution to Governor Abdullahi Sule for further necessary action.
Musa, who hails from Lafia Local Government Area, received support from members of the House during the screening exercise.
Hon. Solomon Akwashiki and Dr. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, who represented Hon. Esson Mairiga, spoke extensively in support of the nominee and endorsed his appointment.
The confirmation is expected to pave the way for Musa to assume his responsibilities on the Nasarawa State Judicial Service Commission, subject to the necessary executive action.
