The Provost of the College of Education, Akwanga (COE Akwanga), Dr. Best Barau Nuhu, has emphasised the importance of continued collaboration and institutional support towards strengthening infrastructure, academic development and the overall growth of the College.
Dr. Nuhu made the remarks when he received a delegation from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) led by its newly appointed Board of Trustees (BOT) Member representing the North-Central Geographical Zone, Dr. Abdurrahman Hassan Ochole, during a familiarisation visit to the institution.
The Provost expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit, stressing that sustained partnership with TETFund remains crucial to addressing the developmental needs of the College and enhancing its capacity to provide quality teacher education.
Dr. Ochole was accompanied by the TETFund Zonal Coordinator, Mrs. Kor Leticia, and other officials of the Fund.
The visit provided an opportunity for the delegation to familiarise itself with the College, engage with its management and gain firsthand knowledge of the institution’s development, achievements and areas requiring further support.
During the engagement, the College management highlighted the importance of continued intervention and collaboration in improving infrastructure, advancing academic programmes and creating a more conducive learning environment for students.
The visit also underscored the strategic relationship between COE Akwanga and TETFund in promoting institutional development and strengthening teacher education.
The College expressed optimism that the engagement would further deepen collaboration with TETFund and facilitate greater support for projects and initiatives aimed at improving teaching, learning and overall institutional growth.
