……As 2 daughters of former Nasarawa Speaker Balarabe, 8 others graduate from Quar’anic Memorization School.

The Nasarawa State Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Ahmed Aliyu, the former Speaker of the State Assembly Alh. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and State Lawmakers Hon. Muhammad Adamu Omadefu and Hon. Muhammad Garba Isimbabi has task parents on proper upbringing of their children through religion education.

This, they said religion knowledge and morality on children will mold them to be better citizens and give room for an egalitarian society for all.

They stated this at the Third Edition and Graduation Ceremony of Quar’anic Memorization of students of Madrasatu Darul Quranic Karim Lafia held at the school premises at Project Quarters Lafia today Sunday.

The event brought together prominent personality who come to witness the all important occasion which had 10 students graduating from the school which include 2 daughters of Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, former Speaker of the State Assembly Amina Ibrahim Balarabe and Halima Ibrahim Balarabe.

Speaking at the occasion, the State Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Ahmed Usman, the immediate past Speaker of the State Assembly Alh. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and some state lawmakers Hon. Muhammad Garba Isimbabi and Hon. Muhammad Adamu Omadefu decried situations where some parents show less commitment to the religion knowledge of their children.

As according to them,. lack of good foundation in religion knowledge has been identified as one of the factors responsible for moral decay in the society hence the need for parents to braze-up in that direction and feel the gap for a brighter future.

They congratulated the graduating students and urged them not to relent in their efforts in religion education and wished them more blessings.

It was reported that presentation of awards of recognition, certificates among other activities climax the event just as speeches were made by management and board of trustee of the Islamiya school where it was revealed that the school which started with 2 students 11 years ago now have over 200 students.

The event had in attendance member representing Uke/Karshe at the State Assembly Hon. Musa Saidu Gude, the Rector Isa Mustaphe Agwai Polytechnic Lafia, Barr. Imam Zanwa, Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa, politicians, government officials and the academia among others just as it featured Quar’anic recitation and memorization, prices among others.
