The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasarawa State Chapter, has expressed sadness over the fatal accident involving supporters of former Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, at the popular Lafia Flyover on Monday, September 14, 2026.
In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Augustine Ogaba, the APC said it “received with profound shock and sadness” the news of the tragic incident, which reportedly claimed the lives of six people and left several others injured.
The party described the accident as “a deeply painful development that has plunged families, friends and the wider community into mourning.”
The statement partly reads: “The APC, Nasarawa State Chapter, extends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, the leadership and supporters of the group, and all those affected by this tragic incident.”
“At this difficult moment, our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and all those affected by this tragedy,” the party stated.
The APC prayed that Almighty God would “grant the departed eternal rest and give their loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
The party also wished those injured in the accident a “speedy and complete recovery.”
“May Almighty God continually protect and avert future occurrences,” the statement added.
