The Nasarawa State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to bring together public relations professionals, industry leaders, stakeholders and distinguished guests for its 2026 Annual General Meeting and Conference, with a focus on harnessing the state’s rich natural endowments for development and greater visibility.
The two-day event, scheduled for October 2 and 3, 2026, will be held at Tazu Luxury Hotel and Suites, Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, under the theme, “Public Relations and Natural Endowments in Nasarawa State.”
The conference is expected to provide a platform for professionals and stakeholders to explore the strategic role of public relations in promoting Nasarawa State’s natural resources, cultural heritage and other development potentials.
The Special Guest of Honour is the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, whose presence is expected to underscore the importance of effective communication and strategic reputation management in showcasing the state’s opportunities and natural wealth.
Also expected at the gathering are the President of the Global Alliance, Prof. Justin Green, and the President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Dr. Ike Neliaku, alongside other leading figures in the public relations profession.
The programme has been designed to combine professional engagement with cultural celebration. It will feature a keynote lecture, panel discussion, awards of recognition, a Night of Culture and Cuisine, as well as the election of new executive officers for the Nasarawa State Chapter.
The festivities will commence on Friday, October 2, at 6:00 p.m. with the Night of Culture and Cuisine.
