2027: Accountant General Calls On DFS to Uphold Unity, Humility in Political Journey

The Accountant General of Nasarawa State, Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed,  Baraden Nasarawa, has stressed the importance of unity, humility and inclusiveness in political leadership as the state gradually moves towards the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed made the call during a consultative visit by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Nasarawa West Senatorial District, Dr. Faisal Shuaib, popularly known as DFS, at his residence in Lafia.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the Accountant General to share his perspective on the qualities he believes are necessary for effective political engagement and representation, particularly as political actors begin consultations ahead of the next general elections.
The Baraden Nasarawa commended Shuaib for reaching out to critical stakeholders across Nasarawa West, describing the gesture as a demonstration of respect and recognition of the importance of consultation in the political process.
For the Accountant General, the significance of such engagements goes beyond the immediate search for political support. He emphasised the need for political actors to maintain an inclusive approach that accommodates diverse interests and perspectives.
His emphasis on unity and humility reflects the broader responsibilities associated with public representation, where leaders are expected to engage with people across political, social and community divides.

The Accountant General’s Message

At the heart of Baraden Nasarawa’s intervention was a call for Shuaib to sustain the spirit of inclusiveness that has characterised his stakeholder engagements.
He urged the senatorial hopeful to remain humble and committed to bringing people together as he pursues his political ambition.
The Accountant General’s position places considerable emphasis on consultation as a foundation for effective leadership. By engaging stakeholders, political aspirants are able to listen to concerns, receive counsel and better understand the expectations surrounding public office.
The Accountant General’s remarks therefore presented the consultation not simply as a political courtesy but as part of the broader process of building relationships and understanding among stakeholders.

A Voice on Leadership

As the 2027 elections draw closer, the advice from the Accountant General highlights the expectations that often accompany political ambitions.
Beyond electoral campaigns and the pursuit of political positions, Baraden Nasarawa’s message centres on the values that should guide public engagement: unity, humility and inclusiveness.
His commendation of Shuaib’s consultation with stakeholders also underscores the importance he places on dialogue and respect in political activities.
The visit by the APC candidate ultimately provided the Accountant General with an opportunity to articulate these values at a time when political discussions are beginning to intensify across Nasarawa State.
For Baraden Nasarawa, the central message remains one of responsible engagement — that political ambition should be accompanied by humility, consultation and a commitment to bringing people together.
As the road to 2027 gradually unfolds, his counsel adds a leadership perspective to the emerging political conversations in Nasarawa State
